I am a fourth year PhD student in the Computer Science Department at Carnegie Mellon University. I am fortunate to be advised by Prof. Christos Faloutsos. I am interested in developing principled algorithms to mine patterns and anomalies in large heterogeneous or time-evolving graphs, with a focus on little-to-no supervision and streaming settings. My algorithms have been applied to diverse domains including communication and transportation logs, e-commerce ratings data and network traffic to successfully detect fraudulent user behavior, network security threats and interesting events in general.

Formerly, I graduated with honors in Computer Science and Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Madras. My undergraduate research supervisor was Prof. Sutanu Chakraborti.
