Course Objectives |

The major goal of this
course is to develop understanding of individual behavior, work groups, and
organizations so that students can apply the theories and concepts learned in
this course to organizational settings.
1)
How
do individuals, groups, and organizations make decisions? Why do some of them
make better decisions than others? 2)
Why
are certain work groups or organizations more successful than others? How do
you create effective teams? How can you be a good team leader or player? 3)
What
are the differences between hierarchies and markets? What is transaction cost?
How do transaction costs determine the boundaries between hierarchies and
markets? 4)
What
factors affect an organization’s structure? What are the advantages and
disadvantages of different organizational structures? 5)
What
is a learning organization? How do organizations learn and innovate? 6)
What
is organizational culture? How does organizational culture interact with other
organizational characteristics to influence organizational performance? |
