Chuck Thorpe

I am the Dean of Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar, and a member of the faculty of The Robotics Institute. I am interested in computer vision, planning, and control of robot vehicles operating in unstructured outdoor environments. I run the Navlab Project. The Navlab project has built 11 robot vehicles: three vans, two HMMWVs, three sedans, and two full-sized city busses; plus the latest, Navlab 11, a robot Jeep.
