Casa Loma Other sites
Casa Loma (the house on the hill) was built by the Canadian financier Sir Henry Pellatt between 1911 and 1914, to fulfil his childhood wish for a castle.
This castle presented a medieval romantic architecture and the lattest technologies at this time. Pellat built the first elevator in Canada, he plugged 50 phones in the manor: more than in all Toronto.
Some rooms and corridors are copies of the windsor castle.
