This is a weekly seminar in which PhD students present results from their own research.  Sometimes students also summarize interesting papers.  Each students typically makes two presentations each semester.  The purpose of the seminar is to give students a forum in which they can improve their speaking skills in front of a friendly audience and in which they can get feedback on both preliminary research ideas and more mature research results.  The seminar covers a wide range of topics in computer systems. In recent years, the focus has been on networking, mobile computing, network-awareness, and compilers.
