CMU Robotics Institute Robot Boat Project

The robot boat sailed for the first time on July 2nd, 1999.  It travelled around one corner of a local lake for a few hours testing the propulsion, steering and power systems.  It was very successful except for some trim problems and a over-current breaker that tripped prematurely several times.

	It was almost Independence Day so we couldn't resist the little American flag.  Here the boat is heading at about 3 knots from left to right.  The battery positions have not been fine-tuned and the boat is low in the bow.
