My name is Bryan Pendleton, and I’m a student in the Human Computer Interaction Institute PhD Program in the School of Computer Science at Carnegie Mellon University. My interest is in making it easier for everyone to securely use the technology around us without sacrificing privacy or usability.

My research advisor is Jason Hong. My current work explores issues surrounding Phishing and how to leverage the Wisdom-of-Crowds to detect and respond to phishing attacks.

I’m also a husband and father, the youngest in a family of 5 children (and now many nieces and nephews), and interested in a variety of other issues that impact the world, and I strive to conduct my life in an environmentally responsible way.
