Our good friends Garth & Tara had just come back from a couple weeks in Japan, and said they had a surprise for us. So, after sailing during the day we returned to their place to dress for dinner only to discover that the formal clothes we'd brought to change into were not what was called for...
Turns out that while shopping in Japan, they'd had the idea to get kimono - both for themselves and as a gift to us! So we got to learn how to wear gaeta and tie obi.
Once all done up, we had to get some portraits, of course.
And then headed over to Sushi Too for a fantastic omakase.
One plate in particular had the biggest oysters I've ever seen in my life, and it was all outstanding.
A magnificent time was had by all.
