General
Robotics: Self-paced collabororative lab projects
compliment the weekly lectures of an undergraduate robotics
course entitled General Robotics. These labs reinforce basic
physical intuition and give students an opportunity to explore
new concepts beyond lecture. We use these labs to further our
educational developments in directive constructivism. |

Lego
Living City (local copy):
Between October 2000 and May 2001, Michael Rosenblatt lead an
effort to construct a mini-figure LEGO city with 20 children
between the ages of 10 and 14. The philopophy here is more pure
to the constrivism method. |

Howie
Choset's Educational Statement: Howie Choset teaches
courses with
rigorous mathematical foundations and then implements theories
on real
mechatronics artifacts. This statement is under construction
right now.

Robotics
Minor: As its name suggests, the robotics minor focuses
on robotics. It is open to students in all colleges of the University,
but is housed in College of Engineering. Students enrolled in
this minor will be exposed to, and hopefully interact with,
the robotics research efforts of the College of Engineering
and the Robotics Institute. This minor provides a central unified
set of requirements and a focal point for all undergraduates
who are interested in robotics at Carnegie Mellon.
