Snake Robot Design

Pan Tilt Camera

The pan and tilt camera system was designed to be placed on the mobile base. Its use is to allow the operator to see while they drive. The snake stays in the cradle position allowing the operator to have a clear 360 degree field of view around the chassis.

The original version was too bulky so it was modified to be a mere three inches tall when looking forward. It is constructed from hobby servos and machined aluminum.
