With Hans Moravec, 2003
Iman and I finally completed our first translation
project: Hans Moravec's "Robot:
Mere Machine to Transcendent Mind". Hans kindly agreed
to take a picture with both translators (us!), and Nomad - a rover
from RI, used for antarctic
meteorite research in 1997 - in the backdrop (thanks to Ralf
Brown for taking the pictures for us).
These pictures were taken on September 12, 2003, a sunny Friday.
On this day Hans broke his personal record: he ran for 30 minutes
from home to school to take the picture! |
