Bonnie E. John - Principal InvestigatorHuman-Computer Interaction Institute Bonnie John is an engineer (B.Engr., The Cooper Union, 1977; M. Engr. Stanford, 1978) and cognitive psychologist (M.S. Carnegie Mellon, 1984; Ph. D. Carnegie Mellon, 1988) who has worked both in industry (Bell Laboratories, 1977-1983) and academe (Carnegie Mellon University, 1988-present). She is an Associate Professor in the Human-Computer Interaction Institute and the Director of the Masters Program in HCI. Her research includes human performance modeling, usability evaluation methods, and the relationship between usability and software architecture. She consults for many industrial and government organizations. |

Peter Centgraf - Research ProgrammerPeter Centgraf earned a Master's degree in Human-Computer Interaction in December 2005. Peter received a B.S. in Computer Science and a B.A. in Psychology from Rice University in May 2003. He has also worked as a programmer on the DrJava open source development environment, research assistant with the CHIL group, and software engineering intern with the User Tools team at Direct Supply, Inc. He seeks the happy place where psychology meets engineering to produce useful, interesting software. |

Alex Eiser - Research ProgrammerEDSH 222 Alex Eiser is a Graduate of Queen's University, Kingston... not New York. As such he is a proud Canadian and loves to play it up - just don't tell anyone that he is actually an American. Graduating with a degree in Software Design, Alex put his knowledge to good use as a Research Programer with Bonnie John on the CogTool project. Alex plans to complete his Masters degree in August of 2006, and then continue to work in Software Design with a focusing on integration. |
