Trip to Denver - September 2002
I attended the Pronunciation Modeling and Lexicon Adaptation workshop at Estes Park, Colorado from September 14-15, 2002, and the International Conference on Spoken Language Processing at Denver, Colorado from September 16-20, 2002.
Pictures at PMLA:
Estes Park is up in the Rocky mountains!

With Antoine Raux (also from CMU) at the log cabin we were staying at!

With Yasushi Tsubota (Kyoto University). Yasushi, Antoine and I shared rooms at PMLA and at ICSLP.

Antoine and I in the conference room.

I think this is a view of the Long's Peak - but I could be mistaken.

Pictures at ICSLP:
I think this is the old mint (where they used to make nickels, dimes and quarters) but again I could be wrong.

At a bar close to the conference. Upper row left to right: Yoko (Kyoto), Yasushi (Kyoto), myself, a researcher from NTT, Japan, and Niloy (MIT Media Lab). Kneeling not-too-comfortably in front: Antoine.

A closer photo.

Proof that I didn't only holiday in Denver: me in front of my poster presentation.
