BusLine

BusLine is a VoiceXML application built on top of a platform that uses Alex Rudnicky's backend and allows you to find out about the buses around CMU, Oakland and Squirrel Hill.

This particular VoiceXML platform, and therefore my application, uses Nuance's speech recognition technology and Lernout&Hauspie's Text To Speech engine, so I don't really control either the speech recognition nor the speech synthesis of the system. What I'm responsible for is the dialog management, which is sometimes constrained by what you can do using this platform.

So, if you want to find out the bus schedule around CMU:
Call BusLine at 1-800-555-8355
extension: 1-84083

It works better if you type the extension in the phone keys rather than saying the numbers.
And you can use speed dial with 1 pauses to call Busline by pressing just one key

please, send me any comments and suggestions
