About Me

Hi! Thanks for stopping by my always –approximate webpage. As we all know, completing a webpage is an NP-Complete problem, hence, I don’t aspire to do that in a reasonable time unless P=NP Q.E.D.  (if you buy this argument, you need to look here)

I am now a Google Research Scientist after spending a year at Yahoo! Research. I got my Ph.D. from the School of Computer Science, Carnegie Mellon University working with Prof. Eric Xing in the Sailing Lab.

My PhD thesis ( defense sildes, proposal sildes ) received the ACM SIGKDD Doctoral Dissertation Award

My random walk in the world is [Cairo Magdeburg Cairo Urbana-Champaign PittsburghSanta ClaraMountain View] I am sure that this is not Markovian! I got my BSc. And MSc. in Computer Engineering from Cairo University. I then moved to start my PhD in the Department of Computer Science at the University of  Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. I spent two years at UIUC and then transfered to CMU and got my Phd in 2011.
