CALL FOR SCS STAFF RECOGNITION AWARD NOMINATIONS...Now is a perfect opportunity to thank those individuals who have enriched the SCS community through their contributions: those who have made life easier, more efficient, and happier in the process. SCS has many deserving staff members and they would be delighted to know that their efforts are appreciated. So take some time to submit and/or support a nomination! Due at the end of the day, March 1, nominations can be dropped off in Wean Hall (CSD Main Office), Smith Hall (Mailbox), or LTI (Main Office). Nomination guidelines and the NEW nomination form are available at: www.cs.cmu.edu/staffawards/info.html. Mark your calendars! This year's award presentation and reception is scheduled for Monday, May 3 from 10:00-12:00 in Rangos Hall 1/2 in the University Center.

NEW APPOINTMENTS...Roy Taylor has joined the Distance Education Program where he is working with Anne Anthony and Jim Tomayko, developing the current "startup" into "a system that offers the complete MSE program to students who may never physically visit campus."
