Reading List

(Under construction -- sorry, I have and like a lot of books...)

My favorite genre is science fiction/fantasy, although I like a good deal of regular fiction, and occasionally some non-fiction. I also like (gasp!) textbooks, in CS/Math and other areas. Below is a listing of my favorites:

Science Fiction / Fantasy

Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time series: The Eye of the World (Book 1), The Great Hunt (Book 2), The Dragon Reborn (Book 3), The Shadow Rising (Book 4), The Fires of Heaven (Book 5), Lord of Chaos (Book 6), A Crown of Swords (Book 7), A Path of Daggers (Book 8), Winter's Heart (Book 9), Crossroads of Twilight (Book 10). An absolutely incredible series, set in a rich world with fun and interesting characters. Thousands of pages of entertainment, then you too can wait with the rest of us as we patiently await each new book. Jordan promises to end it by book 13, but no one really takes him seriously...

Dragonlance, Chronicles and Legends trilogies, by Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman. Dragons of Autumn Twilight (Chronicles 1), Dragons of Winter Night (Chronicles 2), Dragons of Spring Dawning (Chronicles 3), Time of the Twins (Legends 1), War of the Twins (Legends 2), Test of the Twins (Legends 3), and most everything else written by Weis and Hickman (don't read any of the other authors, nothing compares). A classic, great story with hilarious antics yet a serious plot. Plus, the best evil good guy in the entire history of literature (seriously!).
