Probability is extremely important in many computer science algorithms and also in the design of computer systems. Rather than teach probability in isolation, as a pure math class, 15-359 merges the teaching of probability with examples of its use in computer science. We will move at a fast pace, with lectures typically alternating between theory and applications.
