Greg Zelesnik

April 1, 1996

Greg Zelesnik will present the current state of UniCon, with the talk focusing on current research thrusts as well as the current state of the tool suite. He will discuss the group's strategy of progressive codification of connector expertise in the UniCon compiler, the extraction of this expertise into connector experts, the creation of a compiler-generator that can generate versions of the UniCon compiler (from the experts) with different configurations of connectors, and the addition of new connectors (i.e., the PLBundler and RPCGen-based RPC connectors).

Greg will also discuss the state of the graphical editor, and describe the integration problem faced with reusing code from the UniCon textual compiler.
