We strongly advise that you read and answer the questions without looking at the answers, within the exam period's 80 minutes, and then grade your answers (better yet, have a friend grade your answers).

Part 2 is now due 2017-03-03 23:59, 25% penalty on Mar 4, 50% penalty on Mar 5.
- 02/24: Exam 1 will be held in class March 8

Read the View of Cloud Computing and the NIST Definition (shorter of the two NIST papers. The NIST Reference Architecture is optional. We added another optional "reading", Jeff Dean's 2015 SOSP History Lecture.
- 01/13: Getting ready for class to start
15-719 and 18-847(B) have been cross-listed. ECE students should register for 18-847(B), SCS students should register for 15-719 and others should register for whichever has space (15-719 can take 87 and 18-847 can take 45).
- 01/13: Prerequisites
To take this graduate class non-PhDs must have taken and got a grade of B or better one of 15-213, 18-213, 15-513, 18-600, 15-319, 15-619.
- 01/13: Waitlists
There are many people still on the waitlist. Do not panic. We expect everyone on the waitlists now will have a chance to join the class if they have the prerequisite.
- 01/13: Room change
With the larger class size, we have moved the class meeting to Doherty Hall A302.
- 01/13: Meeting time
The class meets 4.30pm - 5.50pm on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Friday meeting times are optional for non-PhD students.
