TechBridgeWorld Hosts Annual Interactive Event

TechBridgeWorld, the Robotics Institute program that creates and field tests technological solutions that are relevant and accessible to developing communities around the world, will host its annual Interactive event from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday in the Perlis Atrium of Newell-Simon Hall.

The event includes project demonstrations, international food and displays. It will highlight the stories and experiences of students who spent 10 weeks in Chittagong, Bangladesh, this summer, developing an educational tool for enhancing English literacy among pre-college students. The interns also studied which features would be useful for a standalone Braille writing tutor for visually impaired students.

TechBridgeWorld also will be recruiting students for an internship next summer in Uruguay. More information is available online at:
