SF Video Highlights Founders of Carnegie Mellon's PCR Program
Three Carnegie Mellon graduate students talk about the importance of scientists communicating with the public and about their efforts to improve science communication in a new video featured on the ational Science Foundation's Science 360 news service.
"Communicating Science — To The Public, The Media, Our Grandmothers" includes interviews with Adona Iosif, a Ph.D. student in the Machine Learning Department; Jesse Dunietz, a Ph.D. student in the Computer Science Department; and Ardon Shorr, a Ph.D. student in biological sciences.
Last year, the trio founded Public Communication for Researchers, a professional development program to teach communication skills to graduate students through a series of workshops and seminars.
