Southwestern PA Robotics Cluster to Meet at CMU

The Southwestern Pennsylvania Robotics Cluster, a forum for academic and entrepreneurial roboticists, will meet from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, August 31, in the Planetary Robotics Center on the first floor of the Gates Center for Computer Science.

The meeting, which is open to campus and to the public at large, will include presentations by Aldo Zini, president and CEO of Aethon Inc., an update on the Robotics Institute by Director Matt Mason and a review of national robotics initiatives, including the Robotics Roadmap for research. There also will be ample opportunities for networking among the attendees.

The Robotics Cluster is an ongoing effort to bring together robotics researchers at Carnegie Mellon with local robotics entrepreneurs, venture capitalists and foundation representatives. It is sponsored by the Technology Collaborative and Carnegie Mellon
