Presidential Fellowships and Scholarship Program Recognizes 21 SCS Students

Aisha RashidMonday, September 26, 2016

Twenty-one SCS students have been named Presidential Fellows and Scholars for the 2016-2017 academic year.

In 2014, Carnegie Mellon University President Subra Suresh launched the Presidential Fellowship and Scholarship program as a financial resource for accomplished undergraduate and graduate students across the university's seven colleges and schools. Funds and commitments of more than $169 million support current and future classes of Presidential Fellows and Scholars through tuition expenses and graduate research stipends.

"This program addresses one of the most pressing challenges for CMU as we compete globally for the best students, as well as attract and retain the faculty who mentor them," President Suresh said.

Twenty-one SCS undergraduate and graduate students are among the fellows and scholars for the 2016-2017 academic year:
