For Current Students
The study of computer science at Carnegie Mellon encompasses both the theory and design of computer systems as well as the many ways in which computers extend the reach of human intelligence. Our curriculum integrates real world applications and hands-on learning from the very beginning. A low student-to-faculty ratio provides valuable interaction with our world-class researchers. Undergraduate students are encouraged to become involved in faculty research and to pursue their own individual research projects. A robust lecture series exposes all of our students to a wide spectrum of research topics and a broad array of industry specific information. The School of Computer Science leads the world extending the traditional boundaries of computer science. Our alumni are internationally recognized as first-rate researchers, academic colleagues, and industry leaders. |
