Room:TBA

This show is an action-packed, zany time exploring some of the neat ideas in computer science. In CS Unplugged, no computers are used, as you learn about the Binary Birthday Cake, the Parity memory trick, and look at why people get frustrated using computers. You will be able to take home a number of examples you can use in class immediately to illustrate the principles of computer science without using computers!

This material can be used in conjunction with computer courses, in classrooms, and in situations where access to computers is limited. This seminar describes activities that K-12 teachers can use to demonstrate principles of computer science to school children in a variety of settings, and as a warm up for university courses in high school. Remember, these activities are "unplugged" --- no computers are required.

TO REGISTER TO ATTEND, PLEASE EMAIL angieb@cs.cmu.edu by MONDAY, NOVEMBER
