Sesh Iyer is a Principal at the Boston Consulting Group (BCG), and a core member of the firm’s IT Practice Area Leadership in the Americas. Sesh works with clients on a broad range of strategy and technology issues.

Prior to joining BCG, Sesh served as a Senior Executive and Vice President at SysFaire-Akanksa, a management consulting firm where he worked with several Fortune 100 companies focusing on strategic planning, business development, and technology/IT operations. Before SysFaire-Akanksa, Sesh was Vice President of Product Development at Mitoken Solutions, a Motorola spin-off, where his team was responsible for development and support of an enterprise management software suite.  Earlier, Sesh was with Ernst & Young’s Strategy & Transformation practice, Accenture’s Technology practice, and Motorola’s Global Software Group, as a manager of numerous teams and a developer of technology solutions.

Sesh has served as a visiting scientist at the Software Engineering Institute (SEI), a member of the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award, and a core member of the Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) development team.

Sesh holds a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from the National Institute of Engineering, Mysore, where he graduated receiving the Institute’s Gold Medal for academic excellence.  Sesh attended Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) where he received a Masters in Software Engineering from the School of Computer Science. He was inducted into the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society for outstanding academic achievement.  Later, he went on to study at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University where he received an MBA.

Sesh and his wife Jaya live in the Washington DC area.  His interests include travel, cricket, gastronomy, economics, music, and puzzles.
