Tangents by Greg Bear

Review by Bill Johnston

Tangents by Greg Bear is a rare find these days: a new short story collection. It contains some good hard sf stories including "Sisters" about genetically engineered children, "Blood Music" from the old theme of creating man's successor, and, of course, "Tangents" about four-dimensional creatures. His stories are different from most these days because he still tries to explain his new developments, and he appears to know what he's talking about.

I have recently reviewed Beyond Heaven's River by Bear, so if you actually want to hear what I think of him you'll have to find a copy of that review.
