Julie Van Dyke
I am a research programmer in the
School of Computer Science at
Carnegie Mellon University. I work
on the the
NL-soar project and also on the ACT-R algebra tutoring project. My own research is in the area of second
language acquisition, and my M.Sc. thesis in Computational Linguistics was entitled
"A process model of learning definiteness in ESL."
Before coming to CMU, I spent two years teaching English in Poland at the English Institute of the University of
Lodz.
Before that, I was an undergraduate at the
University of Delaware .
I also worked in the natural language lab at the A.I. Dupont Institute's laboratory for Applied Science and Engineering .
