Assistant Professor in Department of Computer Science
Aplications are invited for tenure-track and/or contractually-limited term positions at
the assistant professor level. The Department plans to increase its overall strengths and
has particular interest in applied areas such as computer and software systems, parallel
processing and architecture, programming languages, database and software
engineering; but excellent candidates from other areas are also encouraged to apply.
Applicants must have a recent doctoral degree in Computer Science and demonstrate
strong potential for excellence in research and teaching at both graduate and
undergraduate levels.
The Department of Computer Science at York includes more than 25 faculty members,
and has recently moved to expanded facilities in the new Chemistry and Computer

within easy reach of downtown Toronto.
