Applications are invited for tenure-track and/or contractually limited term
positions at the assistant professor level. The department plans to
increase its overall strengths and has particular interest in applied areas
such as computer and software systems, parallel processing and
architecture, programming languages, and database and software engineering;
but excellent candidates from other areas are also encouraged to apply. A
recent doctoral degree in computer science is required. Applicants must
demonstrate strong potential for excellence in research and teaching at
both the graduate and undergraduate levels.
The Department of Computer Science at York includes over 25 faculty
members, and has recently moved to expanded facilities in the new Chemistry
and Computer Science Building. For further information see

Canada. It is located in metropolitan Toronto, and is within easy reach of
downtown Toronto.
