Professor of Computer Science

     West Virginia University is seeking candidates for two tenure track computer science positions to
     be appointed at the full professor level. These individuals will provide leadership within a growing
     computer sciences Ph.D. program, and will be responsible for conducting a R&D effort in computer
     science and engineering encompassing applications in software engineering, information
     technology, and programming languages, particularly in the areas of reuse, verification and
     validation, and software improvement. The candidates must be recognized as outstanding
     contributors to computer science, with extensive experience in computer applications and
     demonstrated research leadership skills. The candidates must demonstrate a history of attracting
     research funding, excellent communications skills, and an interest in working with industry. These
     positions are in association with the newly created Institute for Software Improvement (ISI). The
     State of West Virginia, West Virginia University and West Virginia industry have established the
     ISI as a research and education organization to explore the frontiers of software design,
     development and analysis in the areas relevant to the growing software industry and government

Computer Science Post-Doctoral Positions

     The Department of Statistics and Computer Science at West Virginia University has immediate openings
     for at least two post-doctoral research fellows in software engineering. West Virginia University is the
     land grant Research Institution in the state, enrolling 22,500 students.

     Areas of interest include software architecture, evolution, languages, reuse, and verification and
