The Department of Computer Science at Western Michigan University
seeks applications for tenure-track assistant professor positions in
computer science beginning Fall, 1997, pending budgetary approval.
Applicants with considerable experience and record of accomplishment
may be considered at the associate professor level. A Ph.D. in
computer science or closely related field is required. The development
of externally funded research and participation in the department's
doctoral program, as well as teaching at all levels, are expected.
Applicants from all research areas will be considered. Candidates with
research interests in one or more of the areas of computer
architecture, operating systems, and compilers are especially
encouraged to apply. Western Michigan University, a Carnegie
