Faculty Position in Computer Science

Applications are invited for one tenure-track faculty position in computer science at the assistant professor level pending budget approval. Preference will be given to candidates with a strong background in high-performance computing and in experimental research on computer systems or applications. Applicants must have a Ph.D. prior to September 1, 1997 in computer science or in a related area, and must demonstrate strong ability for excellence in research and teaching. Responsibilities include research, teaching, and direction of graduate students at M.S. and Ph.D. levels.

The Division of Computer Science offers the B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in Computer Science, supporting a dynamic and growing program with over 400 undergraduate and 70 graduate students. The research activities and experimental facilities in the division have been well supported by various Federal research and infrastructure grants. Currently, the Division has 13 faculty and is expected to grow significantly in the next few years.
