The Department of Computer Science and Engineering
at the University of South Florida
is seeking three new tenure-track Assistant Professors.  
Areas of special emphasis in
this search are (1) Architecture / VLSI design and test, (2) Databases,
and (3) Networks.  Multimedia systems, especially as they overlap with
one of these areas, is also an area of interest.  Exceptional applicants
in other areas may be considered.

Candidates should have an earned doctorate or equivalent in Computer
Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline, and a commitment
to excellence in a balance of teaching and research.


The University of South Florida is the second largest university in
Florida  (over 36,000 students).  The Department of Computer Science and
Engineering currently has 17 faculty; offers BS degrees in Computer
Engineering (ABET accredited), Computer Science (CSAB accredited),
and Information Systems, totaling approx 300 undergraduate majors;
offers MS degrees (approx 115 students) and a PhD (approx 50 students).
