The University of Pennsylvania invites outstanding applicants for
tenure-track appointments in both experimental and theoretical
computer science to start 1 July 1997.  Senior level appointments will
also be considered.

Faculty duties include undergraduate and graduate teaching, as well as
research.  The University is looking for applicants whose research
would be enhanced by the department's existing strengths in algorithms
and computational biology, computer graphics and animation, computer
vision and robotics, databases, real time systems, advanced networks
and distributed systems, logic and computation, programming languages,
and natural language processing.  We intend to grow in the general
area of experimental computer science and encourage applications from
candidates who implement and measure complex systems.
