Post Doctoral Positions

            The University of Maryland Institute for Advanced Computer Studies
            (UMIACS) invites applications for post doctoral positions, beginning
            summer/fall `97. Areas of particular interest include networking,
            multimedia, software engineering, geographic information systems, and
            computer vision. 

            UMIACS, a state-supported research unit with 45 faculty members,
            has been the focal point for interdisciplinary and applications-oriented
            research activities in computing on the College Park campus. The
            Institute maintains state-of-the-art laboratories in high performance
            computing, computer vision, networking, multimedia, language and
            video processing, and human-computer interaction.
