Department of Computer and Information Sciences
The Department of Computer and Information Sciences at Towson State
University is accepting applications for at least two tenure track assistant
professor positions to begin Fall 1997. The selected applicants will be expected to
teach undergraduate and graduate courses, participate in department activities,
conduct research, and supervise student projects. Applicants must have a Ph.D.
in Computer Science or Information Systems or a closely related area. The
Department plans to fill at least one position in the area of information systems or
information science. Other departmental needs are software engineering,
computer networks, and computer graphics. University level teaching or industry
experience is desirable.
The Department offers a CSAB-accredited Bachelor of Science program in
Computer Science, a Computer Science program with a track in Information
Systems, a Master of Science program in Computer Science, and expects to offer
a Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems in the near future. The
Department has 18 full-time faculty members and approximately 300
undergraduate and 200 graduate students.
