Elaborating on the advertisement in CACM (December 1996), applications are
invited for a tenure-track faculty position in computer science at the
assistant professor rank. Desired research areas in computer science
include software development and related areas, object-oriented languages
and systems, distributed information systems, multimedia and user
interfaces. Applications for possible visiting positions in any areas of
computer science are also invited.
Applicants must have a Ph.D. by Sept. 1, 1997, and a strong potential for
excellence in research and teaching. Women and minorities are strongly
urged to apply. Successful candidates must meet guidelines of the
