Assistant Professor

The Department of Computer Science invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in the area of High Performance Computing. Applicants must have a Ph.D. or equivalent degree in computer science. Candidates must show outstanding potential for research and teaching in the field of high performance computing. Research emphasis of interest include, but are not limited to, scientific visualization, virtual reality, high performance networking, graphic interfaces and other areas of computer science.

It is expected that the candidate will participate in the research program of the Concurrent Computing Laboratory at LSU. Experience in the areas of large scale computing simulations, algorithm design and implementation on SIMD and MIMD architectures, and on massively parallel machines is preferred.
