Department of Computer Science and Applied Mathematics
Applications are invited for one or more tenure-track faculty
positions (at all ranks) in Computer Science beginning in August 1997.
Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Computer Science or a closely
related discipline, and must be interested in developing a research and
educational program in one of the following areas: database systems,
software engineering, or networking and telecommunications.
Candidates should demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching and
research at both the undergraduate and graduate level.
The Department offers B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in Computer
Science with sizable student populations in all programs. Faculty
research programs span many areas, with concentrations in
distributed systems, computer networking, intelligent information
systems, medical systems, and software engineering. Our main
campus is located just south of downtown Chicago. In addition, we
have a campus located along the high technology corridor in
Chicago's western suburbs.
