        In Operational Research / Artificial Intelligence


     For a period of 2 years, starting at earlier convenience
     (before summer 1997), with possible extension.


Candidates for these positions must have a doctorate or the
equivalent in Operational Research, Computer Science or
Mathematics. Their scientific background should integrates
operations research and artificial intelligence techniques to
solve complex combinatorial problems. More precisely, we are
interested in the study and development of heuristics, using
genetic algorithms, taboo search and ant colonies approach to
solve vehicle routing and scheduling problems with various side
constraints. We are also interested in the implementations of
these techniques for real-time applications like dynamic
vehicle dispatching and resources allocation.
