Tenure-track position in Computer Science at rank of Assistant Professor to begin August 1997. Ph.D. in Computer Science or a very closely related field, good communication skills and a commitment to excellence in teaching are required. Teaching responsibilities include programming languages, data structures, computer architecture, compiler design, operating systems. Other duties include advising students, curriculum development, maintaining an appropriate level of professional activity.
Computing facilities include a newly remodeled University Computer Center (including Linux-capable labs that can be scheduled for classes) and a departmental lab equipped with UNIX work stations (DEC, SUN, HP and NeXT). The entire campus is networked and connected to the Internet.
