Information Systems and Software Engineering

Drexel University invites applications for tenure track positions in the College of Information Science and Technology. The College offers innovative and expanding programs in information systems, software engineering, and library and information science. We particularly encourage applicants with interests and experience in databases, information retrieval, networking and distributed computing, and software engineering.

Drexel University is Philadelphia's technological university. Founded in 1891, Drexel is privately endowed and has about 10,000 students. Drexel has one of the largest undergraduate cooperative education programs in the nation and many graduate programs oriented toward careers in industry.

The College has more than 800 students and offers both undergraduate and graduate degrees. All faculty members are expected to pursue an active research program and demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching. The College emphasizes applied research and we consider experience in industry a plus. We are seeking dynamic colleagues who have a strong drive to succeed. Tenure track positions require a doctorate in a relevant discipline. Senior level appointments will be considered, if appropriate. Other types of appointments including research, visiting, post-doctoral and part-time are also possible. Compensation is competitive.
