1. Admin changes:

STEELE/Dark Destiny - Norman Lee has had to withdraw as World Admin. Replacing him is Jade (cyberdasai@earthlink.net).

Broken Lands - Due to time concerns, I am handing over the BL reins to Keri Rodgers <keri_rodgers@execacco.com> and Christine Canacel <asvin@wpi.webquest.com>. Helena <princess_ramana@hotmail.com> will also be assisting as a Group Admin.

Please welcome these ladies to the WW admin list!

2. World building:

WW In Nomine is nearing completion. The materials are due to be reviewed by Steve Jackson at the convention this weekend. Once his approval is given, the world will be opened for play. Interested parties should contact Lynette Cowper (lcowper@indy.net).

3. Awards:

The WW awards for 1998/99 will be announced at the convention, and posted on the web site soon afterward. A text version will also be written up and sent out to all admins, for distribution to your players.

4. Call for players:

Steele and Starfleet are both in active pursuit of more players. There are a large number of vacancies in both worlds. Please contact the following people if you know of anyone who might be interested in starting up a new character for either world.

5. New Web-based chat site:

Jason Wellman has implemented new web-based IRC chat software at the STEELE website. It should be linked shortly from the main WW web site. The new software is still in testing, so please help out and send any comments to Jason (nimh@morticia.dhs.org).

6. Departures

With the combining of the USS ORION and USS SABRE, and the loss of the USS PHOENIX, WW Starfleet has shrunk again. With these losses, we say goodbye and good luck to several long-time WW writers who no longer have characters with us. Our best wishes to Chris Ackney, Craig Evans, Bess Stocking, and Linda Pfeiffer. You are all missed, and are welcome back at any time in the future.

Also departing is Mike Thurlow, whose last remaining character was Geoffrey Day, FO of the USS ODYSSEUS. Mike is the former Captain of several incarnations of the now-inactive USS APOLLO. We wish him the best as well.
