Beijing

The shots I'm mostly happy with:

I don't remember which bell tower this was at the top of.

You live either in a massive concrete apartment building, or in a section of a house built around a small courtyard, patchworked into a vast city block wormed through by alleys. No doubt there are practical reasons to live in the apartment, but the courtyard house is more alive to look at.

People in Tiananmen Square, in front of the (?)Hall of the People's Deputies. (What are they looking at?)

"smog".
Inside a building in the garden of the Forbidden City.

I can't decide which version I like.

In a courtyard of the Forbidden City.

She was watching goldfish in a pool in the garden.

Then some other photos:

A sign in Tiananmen.

"look, I'm not looking at you"
I really was aiming more for the guy playing.

An unusually long straight stretch of road for a hutong.

Me on the wall at Simatai in an inadequate jacket; my fingers were numbed.

A fisherman in Yuanmingyuan, the site of the ruined Old Summer Palace.

An island in the Lake of Happiness in Yuanmingyuan.

Can anyone tell me what this says?
[Bennet Yee says it's "sell ticket place".]

In Yuanmingyuan.
