Berkman Faculty Development Award
–The Berkman Faculty Development Fund, supported by a gift in the memory of Sybiel Altman Berkman, A'31, is a small grants program in support of professional development. The program is directed primarily to junior faculty whose access to external support is less well developed, and to faculty working in chronically under-funded areas. These "seed" grants allow faculty to explore promising and dynamic research. With these funds, faculty do vital preliminary explorations that, if they are successful, will bring in many more resources in future.
