The Computer Science Department of Rowan University, Glassboro, New Jersey, is hiring two tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professors to begin 9/1/99. These are primarily teaching positions with a default load of 12 hours per semester, though scholarship is supported and expected. A Ph.D. in Computer Science or a closely related field is required; applicants close to completion of a Ph.D. will be considered on a contingency basis. The department has 13 full-time and two 3/4-time faculty/professional staff, who are doing research in OO programming, algorithms, networks, robotics, pattern recognition, and learning theory. Department members are currently receiving NSF support through two grants.
