Minimum requirements for the position include a B.S. in computer science, or a related field, and experience with Unix and/or Windows 95/NT. Experience with Oracle 7 and Oracle Reports and Forms (Developer 2000) is required. An M.S. in computer science or a related field is desirable.

The USC Information Sciences Institute is a research institute composed of approximately 300 people exploring a range of issues across computer science and engineering. The institute is part of the University of Southern California School of Engineering, although it is located off campus in Marina del Rey.
