Here are some of my boats.  Click on each image to see the full-size picture.

Sailing Dinghy
This is a traditional, 11-foot sailing dinghy. I built the boat of white oak, ash, and white pine. Construction was using steam-bent ribs and copper-rivet fastenings. It took about 3 years.  It is shown here without the rig or centerboard trunk.

Ice Boat
Quick and dirty (but fun!) ice boat using the sail and spars from a Laser sailing dinghy. Got up to 15-20 mph before the mast fell down!  Now waiting for good ice to try improved version.

Adirondack Guide Boat
I bought this guideboat from the man who built it.  It is somewhat non-traditional in that it is strip-planked and the hull is somewhat wider to accomodate the rough waters of the Chesapeake Bay where he rowed it.  It is 17 feet long and weighs only 65 pounds.  Since this picture I have refinished it, replaced the seats, decks and gunwales, added a small skeg, and removed an ungainly sailing rig.

Kayak

I just finished building two of these.  It's not completely a kayak -- part small, decked canoe?  Construction is much simpler than the traditional boats shown above and the two boats only took about 4 weeks.
